He finished off his column with a really great though:
Yes, there are some crazy, wacky Muslims out there. The world has known more than a few crazy, wacky Christians, too. So-called Christians who sicced dogs on black children or lynched black men, who burned crosses or fellow Christians at the stake, who massacred Jews or annihilated native civilizations.

besides saying amongst ourselves that those crazies aren’t representatuve of Islam, we should actively sponsor events that inform the non-Muslims as such. there are people who HONESTLY only associate the bad with Islam (example that poll about Islam). InshAllah we can spread the truth about Islam as opposed to the view of Islam the media picks up on.

Well wat I heard was that, Hamza yusuf is bushs cousin from his mother fathers great-grandfathers cousin daughters husband once removed..naah mean but relative of bush or no bush I still think he’s a great sheik mashallah. Great post akhi we muslims aren’t all psycho [looks around]

I wouldn’t waste your time. “WE” are quite able to read the texts for ourselves and form our own opinions. Islam will never convince anyone….it is irredemable, reprobate and evil. This we know.
Now you got these wackos trying to boycott the truth.

Regarding Gravel Rash’s comment. You wouldn’t waste your time? I wish you actually knew the truth. InshAllah, one day you will. Whatever texts you read, maybe you should make sure they’re reliable. And if it’s the Qur’aan, please read it in context and with a good translator (though something is always lost in translation). Think about it yourself. How many non-biased things are there in the media that actually portray Islam for what it is and not what some random people say. Muslims, real Muslims, don’t advocate terror. They do not harm innocents, they do not do half the things non-Muslims think. We believe in the same God as the Jews and Christians. We do not promote racism or ignorance. I can read the texts too and come up with preposterous ideas about non-Muslims. But I try not to because that just adds fuel to the fire that is ignorance. May God grant you wisdom and guide you on the straight path. Ameen.
