The End - 2000 to 2009

“American Morning” anchor John Roberts talks with Yasmin Hamidi (Network of Arab-American Professionals), Haroon Moghul (Graduate Student, Columbia University), and Zaheer Ali (Graduate Student, Columbia University) about the May 22, 2007 Pew Report on Muslims in America.

Shout out to Zaheer Ali, who sent me this video, who is also in the video. My favorite line is by Zaheer “…WMD, that wasn’t found…”. I met Zaheer and he is a good brother, mashaAllah. He’s also West Indian like me, so that’s a plus! 😀

You can also find some more commentary by bro. Amad at MuslimMatters (cross-posted on Daily Kos), SunniSister and HAhmed.com.You can find the Pew report here.

My own commentary: coming soon…inshaAllah

Not surprisingly, the media tried to put such a negative spin on this report.

Most of the headlines said something like “1 in 4 American Muslims Give Ok to suicide bombing”. Only after reading the full report does the reader realize what the true numbers are.

My God, Why are Muslims Americans so friggen scared to say that 9/11 was an inside job ARGH!
I would go on FOX news on all networks and ask, why Bush hasn’t been assassinated yet? Seriously Muslim Americans need to grow some balls.

I don’t know what to believe when it comes to conspiracies. But when you see Muslims praising the 9/11 hijackers in the UK and you see the Osama bin Laden videos talking about 9/11, then you wonder? Do you trust your Muslim brother or the conspiracies?

The American government could have played a role, probably did, but they also probably used Muslims as pawns too. Osama bin laden could be working for the government. Who knows!

      Allah knows best.

It serves no purpose saying 9/11 was an inside job. That is a stale subject that will do no good for the Muslim ummah currently. They should have switched it around and talked about Iraq, like what Zaheer did when he said the “WMDs that were never found.” 9/11 was almost 6 years ago. The Iraq war is now. There is preference. Even if you go on TV saying 9/11 was an inside job, no one would really care, becuase so many people think that. Bush’s support is down to the lowest point in America. America is just fed up of Bush and just can’t wait for the elections to get rid of him.
