Tasbeeh:
The Pew Research Center say that Muslims in American have a comparable educational status to the general American public. So they aren't the most educated among Americans.

Unless you're saying that Muslims in American are amongst the most educated among Muslims... true, given that education standards in Muslim countries. If so, that speaks poorly of these nations, if the average public American (often criticised for being ignorant of the world) is better educated than most Muslims.

Anyway, just for those interested:

Adult illiteracy for population aged 15 years and above, by country and by gender 1970-2015

And in regards to the post: Though disrespecting the prophet’s name is not tolerated in Islam, the woman wasn’t naming the teddy bear after the prophet. She was naming it after a kid in the classroom. And even if she WAS naming the bear after the prophet, I’m sure the prophet would NOT have reacted in the way the Sudanese government has and I imagine he would have been flattered.

hey i think...that from what i heard..that the kids were allowed to pick the name of teh bear...and i think it isnt wrong to pick a muslim prophet name....and..i do feel bad for the teacher...
...i dunt think the teacher was mocking islam...i have a feeling she wasnt..and from what i herd, she wasnt...
...but if she was mocking islam, i think she shud be punished for doing such an act..
....but then again...the whole world will obviosly hear about it and will look at islam and muslims differently...the sudanese government shud worry about other things like darfur and what not and leave the teacher to be judged by Allah (SWT)
.......we shud be teaching others about the good of Islam and promoting it in a good way...so non belivers will know what we are all about

ASTAGHFIRULLAH! that bear isn't even keeping a beard! or wearing pants, to boot!

Also:

[Comment ID #64772 Will Be Quoted Here]

Wealthy, stable countries tend to accept the best and the brightest for immigration. Those that don't become cabbies end up being fairly middle class and having decent, educated kids. And since these immigrants didn't experience the '60s the way white folk did, fewer of their kids are developmentally disabled or rebellious licentious failures. (Another important result of all of this is that fewer of said kids come to populate dead-end arts programs at universities, the kind that land you fancy Starbucks job.)

But look up literacy stats and you'll find Muslim nations generally aren't doing too well. Especially in the women's literacy category. And it's not just the poverty- and war-afflicted ones. The ones ruled by self-interested dictators tend to fair pretty poorly as well. Annnd that about accounts for the whole lot of them.

Wow, I should be some sort of world-famous social commentator! (I apologize for the semi-sarcastic lame-ity; it's more fun than writing my essay.)

Where’s you get that number? From my knowledge- and experience- Muslims are of the most educated and intelligent people. It’s part of our deen to be educated. “….Are those equal, those who know and those who do not know? It is those who are endued with understanding that receive admonition. (Quran, 39:9)”

This year, the Pew Research Center released a study on American Muslims that showed that Muslims in America were among the most educated.
http://www.usatoday.com/news/nation/2007-05-22-poll-muslim-americans_N.htm

I understand that these poll results may not directly reflect ALL Muslims, but it definitely gives you an idea what MOST Muslims are like.

Please don’t throw around misleading “facts” like that.

I'm sure though, that this incident was beneficial in some ways in that it helped to wake up some more people to the insanity.

Still, most people won't speak of it yet, but more people now either finally have their doubts about Islam, or have more doubts about Islam, or finally, have no doubt at all what the problem really is. Pure, literal, political Islam.

However, MoTeddy would make a wonderful Ramadan, Hanukkah or Christmas gift. A New Dark Age is Dawning has a link to them for sale at the Cafe Press store.

Calling these ignorant freaks in Sudan human garbage is just too kind. Oh so peaceful, effin SICK animals...

absurd thought -
God of the Universe says
give a pig a prophet's name

glorify the godly swine
and thank him for his bacon

absurd thought -
God of the Universe says
outlaw all teddy bears

before some little kids
try to honor a prophet

absurd thought -
God of the Universe says
make your population MAD

just keep them on the edge
of breaking some silly rules
