    SIGH. Maybe next year, Insha’Allah.

And why isn’t Dr. Jamal Badawi’s name bolded, SON? It should be double (or triple) bolded, in red and then highlighted in another color. He is Islam’s Baller Scholar. Holler.

NOTE: Yes, I realize I’m a total Dr. Badawi fanboi and I’m ok with that. Also, props and no disrespect intended to all our other great ‘ulamaa.

I wish our shaykhs would do more than just give fancy talks. It’s like they’ve forgotten how to be more than what people expect them to be.

I’ll return the favor by adding information for the friendly competitor… and you know what’s good: RIS and TDC are not at the same time so one could go to both!

And what I find especially interesting is that the topics are about the same! And I’ll tell you another inside story. When we are deciding the topic of this conference, my suggestion was “Family Matters” exactly for TDC… wouldn’t that have been crazy!

Amad – I might consider going to both for an official MR review and head-to-head comparison. :-D

Insha’Allaah I’ll be learning Arabic with Bayyinah during both TDC and RIS..but in the future I hope that both conferences are on different weekends so people can go to both.
