Andre Carson might be the 2nd Muslim in Congress!

andres-carson.jpgFirst it was Keith Ellison, now it might happen to Andre Carson in Indiana. What a surprise that they are both Black Muslims. This just shows the importance the Black Muslim community has on the Muslim American community. So the next time you hear another Muslim being racist (because we all know it happens often), tell them that Black Muslims are trying to bring changes in this country.

May God give success to Andre Carson in Indiana. Ameen!

Keith Ellison and Andre Carson are revolutionaries that should be supported. We should continue to support any brother or sister who is seeking changes in this countries government. May God make them all successful. Ameen!

“I’m an Indy 500 Hoosier. I’m a Covered Bridge Festival Hoosier. I’m a Black Expo Hoosier. I’m a Muslim Hoosier. But I am an American, and I love America,” Carson said, with his wife, Mariama, and 13-month-old daughter, Salimah, at his side.

SubhanAllah! We need to start working again. Being replaced is like Allah saying “You’re fired!”. :(

you know to brighten my day i come here to see what stuff you post. i would say most of the stuff you post, and make a big deal about, is trivial. its very endearing. that makes me laugh and my day gets better!

In defense of my brother MR,

I would like to say to any critics, haters, laughers, jokers etc to put your actions where your mouth is. If you talk the talk, make sure you walk the walk.

Let’s see some action, my brothers and sisters.

We have too much criticism in this world: pants too long, beard too short, curry not spicy, gender relations too spicy!

Let’s show some love, encouragement and support.

      With love and salam,
      http://www.IslamCrunch.com

P.S. Don’t take this as some hippy, utopian rant… if there is something to criticize, let’s criticize the Muslims selling and drinking alcohol, the Ramadan Muslims who are ‘holier-than-thou’, the Muslims who think their Strawberry Shaykh is better than their Chocolate Shaykh.

      Peace.

    12. Doa January 17th, 2008 at 5:48 pm

Narrated Jarir bin ‘Abdullah: Allah’s Messenger said, “Allah will not show mercy to him who does not show mercy to others.” (Al-Bukhari and Muslim)

      Narrated Abu Huraira:
Allah’s Apostle said, “Whoever has oppressed another person concerning his reputation or anything else, he should beg him to forgive him before the Day of Resurrection when there will be no money (to compensate for wrong deeds), but if he has good deeds, those good deeds will be taken from him according to his oppression which he has done, and if he has no good deeds, the sins of the oppressed person will be loaded on him.”
      (Bukhari)

      Narrated ‘Aisha:
The Prophet said, “The most hated person in the sight of Allah is the most quarrelsome person.”
      (Bukhari)

      Fear Allah muslim brother

Dont know about your congress men but our Muslim MPs in the UK SUCK!! no one supports them. they go to their secret MPs meeting in whitehall and come running back to our community tellings us what a British muslim should be. They think Banning the Niqab and trimming the beard will help muslims be accepted in society. Instead supporting our rights their busy trying to please those who dislike us.

i don’t defend man made laws or judge according to them. plus i never took an oath by Allaah or His book to do so either. i know i know, you’re getting all emotional because i attacked the tawagheet. in due time you will understand insha’ Allaah.

      49. And this (He commands): Judge thou between them by what Allah hath revealed, and follow not their vain desires, but beware of them lest they beguile thee from any of that (teaching) which Allah hath sent down to thee. And if they turn away, be assured that for some of their crime it is Allah.s purpose to punish them. And truly most men are rebellious.

      50. Do they then seek after a judgment of (the days of) ignorance? But who, for a people whose faith is assured, can give better judgment than Allah.

      51. O ye who believe! take not the Jews and the Christians for your friends and protectors: They are but friends and protectors to each other. And he amongst you that turns to them (for friendship) is of them. Verily Allah guideth not a people unjust.

You’re silly to say English is not man-made. Go back to sunnah. Stay away from the kufr, biddah and shirk.

    27. wahhabi dissident January 21st, 2008 at 11:26 pm

oh and just because i live in the US doesn’t mean i support their ideology or laws. in the time of the Prophet Muhammad (sal Allaahu alayhi was salaam) the muslims migrated to christian abyssinia but they openly declared their rejection of the belief that jesus is GOD or the son of GOD. they didn’t partake in their government, upholding their laws. they were patient until Allaah willed for them to have their own state and freedom to rule according to the laws of the quraan wa sunnah. just because you live in the US and don’t break their laws, is not the same as upholding and defending their laws, much less swearing to do so. besides there is no such thing as an islamic state and every country in the world is ruled according to man made laws.

what you think arabic is some holy language or something? how do you know Allaah never sent a prophet to the norsemen, this is where the english language comes from by the way? how do you know Allaah didn’t reveal scripture in other languages to other nations? Allaah says He sent a messenger to every nation.

      60. Hast thou not turned Thy vision to those who declare that they believe in the revelations that have come to thee and to those before thee? Their (real) wish is to resort together for judgment (in their disputes) to the Evil One, though they were ordered to reject him. But Satan’s wish is to lead them astray far away (from the right).

      61. When it is said to them: “Come to what Allah hath revealed, and to the Messenger.: Thou seest the Hypocrites avert their faces from thee in disgust.

so by your thought process, we should live here, but have no input into the laws that are created, even as you see laws being created that make the lives of some muslims very difficult (ie patriot act), or help the poor from starving (welfare) or getting medical attention (medicare, medicaid) or allocate the money that pays for the roads you drive on and every other essential need that is necessary in a functioning society.

I seriously doubt that a Muslim is going to be elected into Congress in the state of Indiana. Especially when they find out he is a Muslim.

      YES
allah swt says in surah yusuf ‘we have revealed the quran in arabic so that you may understand
      013.037 Thus have We revealed it, a decisive utterance in arabic;
the ayahs are too numerous to mention and if you study arabic you will know that this is a tawqifiyyah language. according to the quran and the sunna and the consensus of the muslims.
second. there is no such thing as a non man made constituition. every constitution is man made. we derive from sources and since ‘we’ do the deriving we create the constitution. participating in politics helps the community integrate and according to the sharia it is of great maslaha.

Here’s an idea……people have been warring over religion for thousands of years…..
      Religion separates……..
      Spirituality brings together…….
Maybe we should try to be more spiritual beings, no matter what faith you believe and accept those around you as other members of humanity that all share the same fears, doubts, and insecurities as every other human on the planet. You know, I’m a Christian, but I accept all those around me in America as fellow Americans, not Black Not White, Not Muslim Not Christian, just Americans and Humans….
That is until people start flying jetliners into our biggest buildings in the name of allah…..purposely lower case, to emphasize how insane the radical muslim beliefs in jihaad are. You know if any of those radical islamo terrorists actually studied the Qur’an history they’d know that jihaad is only an individual duty when they are Imam.
That’s like the pastor of your church bombing a frickin’ school!
And as far as general mobilization goes, that’s been suspended since
      Muhammad-al-Mahdi(868AD)
WAKE UP PEOPLE We have a great country here…..one made up of many faiths, ethnic backgrounds, and beliefs all of which I am willing to die for to protect. Just don;t try to push YOUR beliefs on me.
I’ll just fall back on the second ammendment as will most of my Hoosier American friends and families.
Can’t we all just be Americans FIRST???
