qatt mullah, youve got a remarkably skewed view of history. jinnah and the muslim league pushed for the creation of a separate land for muslims because they believed muslims wouldnt be treated equally in a unified state. Although jinnah was secular, he never came close to trying to create something like what happened in Turkey under Ataturk. secondly, zia ul haqq had an extremely close relationship with the US, infact, the US pretty much used Pakistan to fight a proxy war with the soviets during his tenure. also the same people that took over this fort also blow innocent civilians up in peshawar, islamabad, lahore and karachi, no matter what their motives, how can you support that?

Unknown I agree, the corrupt system needs to be changed from top down or bottom up. The people need revolution, May God send us the best people to lead it. And MRyder, when was the whole region one country? Under the British? Before that it was the Mughals, but historically the entire subcontinent was not under one rule. It was always multiple states, with different rulers.

those who kill and are killed in the name of secularism are not muslims or rather they are not believers even if they claim to believe in what was revealed to them (surat an-nisa:60-61). you have to understand that pakistan was created by the muslim league, who were actually used by the british to suppress the hindus of india. these people were secular from the very beginning and only used islam to justify their actions and gain support from the muslims in that region. they had the same dream as mustafa kemal ataturk, which was to wipe out the islamic identity of the population. the partition was inevitable. there were brutal clashes between hindus, muslims and sikhs on a daily basis and even now in india and kashmir the muslims are suffering at hands of the mushrikeen. since the creation of pakistan the pro-western secular government has been sharing intelligence with the enemies of islam and striving against all islamic movements. the only difference is that now the british have been replaced by the americans. the only one who tried to break away from this unholy alliance was zia ul-haqq and we all know what happened to him.

Everything happens for a reason. I think its time to revolt against the system to find a better future for our next generation. Poverty and injustice amongst our people have drawn us to hate even our own kind. The only way to change is to change it from the top. Take it however you want it. Love to all!!

+1 on this comment. Honestly, nothing but bad has come out from the region and I'm not hating my Paki brothers!

MR comment: Ever since the creation of Pakistan the whole country has been unstable. It was better when the whole region was one country, in my opinion.

[Comment ID #71632 Will Be Quoted Here]

Most of the Pakistanis are saying the country is a mess and is in chaos right now. It's extremely corrupt. It's extremely poor. The government only rules the major cities. The villages and rural areas are ruled by the tribes. Half the country hates the government. The other half is with the government.

Allah knows best. May Allah (swt) bring peace and stability to the ummah. Ameen!

i think youre commenting a bit too much a bit too early. maybe you should look back and see just who was killing who recently and who is fighting back? hmmm.

maybe we should wait for the situation to really develop before rushing to conclusions.
