Apparently there is a big controversy over the ads due to Imam Siraj Wahhaj supporting it. Islam haters have attacked Imam Siraj saying he is a you know what. What a bunch of idiots!

Also…if you are willing to do some research you can bring this to your own city. I called the bus ads people in my city and it’s about 300 for 6 months of an ad on the side of a bus which was pretty cheap if you think about it.

I like WhyIslam? ad campaigns. Its a unique method of Dawah. Unfortunately, not everyone sees these ad campaigns as something peaceful. Instead they chose to suggest that this campaign and those linked to it are terrorists.

What is the process for getting these advertisements into our cities?
(I’m thinking of Canada)
I think for bloggers we should have a uniform post which we take and adjust slightly and everyone puts it up on their blog. I will work on that. Heck the Little Green Footballs and the JihadWatches are having a field day with this stuff! For all Muslims out there think of this as your project. So whoever believes in this should donate something and secondly should take out a few minutes to throw it up on their blog. Thats the only way to curb the hate machine.
The great thing about these campaigns is that it can be replicated locally. For Canada I would say contact ICNA Canada http://www.icnacanada.ca and tell them you would like to set up a why-islam ad campaign. It would be more effective to work with them (funding, volunteer base etc).

It would be much harder to get CNN coverage w/o NYPost.
