yes, in all technicality, voting in any election that is governed by laws outside of the sharia is a big no no because ultimately by voting we accept to the terms that some, if not all, sovereignty of a country or land lies in the hands of a human and not Allah (swt).

BUT, without voting we are simply by standers. Doing nothing is worse than doing something. Choosing not to vote is an act of neglecting our responsibility for the land we have chosen to live in.

Ultimately, should more unnecessary killing increase under the wrong leadership, without voting, we shall have to explain to Allah (swt) on the Day why we chose not to do something to rectify the problem.

Not voting because it is against the sharia is naive. Many things we do in this country are against the sharia. There are much more important matters to argue over.

ie/ the “Royal Families” that govern Arabia is against sharia. Where is the uproar?

Believing only that “Allah will provide” or simply “have faith in Allah” is not enough; it is fundamental, but alone, is too naive. We must must be active in our improvement.

As Allah (swt) tells us in the Quran, “Allah will not help a people who will not help themselves”.

WOW! what a mistake. . buttt….it just shows how ignorant people are. I never really vote, till i found a black guy was running for president. lol i was sick and tired of red knecks runnin for president so never really took interest in it. but yea OBAMA 08.

ibn alHyderabadi could you explain how you come to conclude that ” Umeezee” is a radical muslim ? even though i dont agree 100% with the post , i found it almost vomiting that muslims like you could label another muslim radical because of a different opinion they hold.
