I saw an interesting post by Tanveer Qamar on a facebook group that I thought summed up and answered the question that the mainstream media uses "what if rockets were being fired in Texas, what would you do?" Here is his post: "Ask yourself why Hamas fires rockets into Israel? Imagine there were gangsters surrounding your house who didn't allow you and your children to freely leave or enter your house and as a result your children and family suffered in every way causing death and illness. In other words you are literally being held hostage in your own house living a life of misery and slow death. You see you elderly parents and relatives die as a result of lack of necessary medication. As a result 1 person from your house attacks the gangsters out of sheer frustration by throwing twigs at them hardly causing any harm. Now in retaliation to that twig throwing those gangsters come into your house with guns and bulldozers to find and kill that person but along with that person kill 10 innocent women and children and injure many others i.e to find one person they killed 10 innocent people. When the gangsters are interviewed by the BBC and Sky News and asked why they went in and did what they did, they say "because they throw twigs at us which hurt us", without telling the people the real reason why they throw the twigs in the first place, which is they are being held hostage in Gaza with no freedom. Israel = Gangster Rockets = Twigs. Israel is a monster and the rockets have only killed a handful of Israeli citizens compared to 100s of Palestinians Fact 1: If Israel gave freedom to the Palestinians then they would not fire rockets at them. Fact 2: If Israel went back to the 1967 borders Hamas will recognise the state of Israel and put down arms. Fact 3: Israel broke the peace treaty in November when they tried to attack Hamas in Gaza, so why should Hamas renew a peace treaty that Israel doesn't honour anyway. It's a big lie that Hamas broke the peace treaty! Fact 4: During the so called peace treaty Israel continued to block the Gaza strip and made the Palestinians suffer and live miserable lives, once again breaking the peace treaty. Fact 5: One way you can stop rocket fire by Hamas would be if America supplied the Palestinians with billion of dollars worth of money and weapons like they do with Israel then maybe they could also bomb Israeli military targets with F-16 bombers rather than use amateur rockets. Fact 6: Israel is the most marshal country in the world where every adult is required to serve in the army. So apart from the children and elderly is there any innocent civilians in Israel as all are part of the army? So if the rockets are fired one can argue that the whole of the adult population is a target as they are reservists for the army? Fact 7: Israel during the so called "peace treaty with Hamas" did not stop the blockade of Gaza. The blockade and sanctions have killed more Palestinians than the bombs in the last week. Israeli Zionists really need to understand that there is no long term future for them by creating so much damn hatred for them selves in the world. I don't think they understand how much the Zionists are hated for what they have done to the Palestinians. One and a half billion Muslims and many millions of non Muslims hate the Zionists. Some people who are unable to differentiate between Zionists and Jews unfortunately just hate all Jews! I mean 25% of the world population hates the Zionists. That's 1 in 4 people. The Zionists are winning the short term war but are losing the long term war! Hitler sent the Jews to the ovens into the fire, but now the Zionists are sending the Fire from the air onto Gaza making it into one big oven!
