Rock Band U2: “Israeli dream … a Palestinian dream” at DC Concert for Barack Obama – Sun. Jan 18, 2009

When you click play it will jump to where he mentions Israel and Palestine. Bono hesitates and thinks about it for a second before he mentions Palestine.
The song they were singing was dedicated to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Barack Obama spoke right after U2 performed. I wonder if he even heard “a Palestinian dream”.

Dear Sir… I do not believe Bono hesitated to think before singing Palestinian dream. Instead he paused to add gravitas and emphasis on it. You could see say he paused to make us, the listeners around the world ask ourselves ‘is he going to say it’. And he did, god bless him.
@Dagher Al Sakr – Could be true.
I too thought he hesitated, but it might have been for dramatic effect.
May Allah help the dreams of the Palestinians come true and may there be peace in the Middle East.

why would he hesitate? its a rehearsed performance. I saw it on HBO when it aired and was not surprised. Bono is a great human being who has dedicated much of his life to humanitarian efforts and social justice – and yes he did pause to add gravitas to the idea of the “Palestinian Dream”!
only a pop rock band like U2 can make them look big and majestic
not a heavy metal band, punk rock, or a R&B band
and definitely not any hiphop artist or band
