I also got some inside scoop and some Muslim celebrities from Hollywood present as well:
1. We are also having as a special guest Faran Tahir (villain from Iron Man and also on Star Trek) and one of the speakers is Kamran Pasha (writer for Sleeper Cell and many others). Since we as Muslims are consumers of Hollywood we need to strategize ways to make a meaningful impact and not just be reactionary.
2. We are having Muslimscholarship.org as an online partner and they have a great vision of providing real aid for aspiring students. M100 is a brilliant concept as well. I would love to see UnitedWay, some Foundations and other corporations make sizeable donations to these and other muslim initiatives.
