I have to disagree completely with this methodology and opinion. The teachers that I have listened differ on the obligation of Jihaad. Don’t get me wrong. I support the Jihad in Afghanistan, Iraq and Palestine. It is obligatory to defend your homeland. I am against the occupation of all 3 countries. America and Israel are committing atrocities left and right. We have to end this war by any means necessary and that includes non-Jihadi ways. For example the Iraqi government has taken control of parts of Iraq and American forces have left those areas, but yet Muslims are still fighting each other. This has to end. First route out the invaders and occupiers then figure out how to establish God’s law on the Muslim lands. I believe strongly in I wrote a few months back. You have the right to disagree with me, that’s fine, but don’t discount your brothers and sisters who disagree with Awlaki and the current Jihad by Al-Qaeda and the Taliban.

On a side not, you should know that Al-Qaeda does not agree nor would they fight alongside with Hamas/Hezbullah. So even within the groups engaging in war with America, there are differences. You also have to remember the only jihad going on right now is defensive, and it will probably stay like that until the Mahdi comes. Allah knows best. May Allah unite us upon the haqq and remove the batil. Ameen!

Jihaad is Fard, why don’t you read the works on Jihad by Shaykh al-Albanee or even classical writtings by Shaykh ul Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah (rahimullaah). Or better go further to the works of Imaam Ahmed ibn Hanbal.

The daleel is clear and Awlaki and the likes have transgressed the boundaries.

Many scholars can spends years, even decades in studying deed, but what use is it when you are not going to use it correctly. Before Rasulullah died, he order an army to go and fight the romans at the same place the battle of Mu’tah took place. Rasulullah dies before the army left. After the death of Rasullullah, All of the Arab tribes that surrounded medina apostated. So amny of the leared Sahabas told abu bakr that they should not send these tropps to jihaad over the romans while they face probles at there home. They argued that the marching to the romans was inapropriate for the time. Abu Bakr said that is was an order of the prophet and his job was to carry it on. So the army marched to the romans. Herculas, was suprised by this. He said that the muslims’ leader is dead and yet they are still carrying his order, this is a war we cannot fight…and then the romans surrenderd to the muslims. The lesson that we can learn is, is that even after the prophet’s death, Jihaad has carried on just as it is supposed to. And no matter was “learned” people say, Jihaad will face bo exceptions and excused for any nation to not accept. What the Talibaan are doing is Jihaad. Back to Awlaki. He’s an American and has spent most his life in America and only the past few years been in the Muslim world. What do you of Awlaki’s family? His father is part of the government and a minister. Do you think his own father approves of his words? Don’t you think his wife and children miss him? They are currently with his father who is protecting them. A man who works for the Yemeni government is protecting his own wife and children and yet he will say it’s fard to do Jihad against the Yemeni government. According to his own ideology anyone who works for any Muslim countries government is a kafir. Does that make Awlaki’s own father a kafir? AstagfirAllah. May Allah forgive us all.

1) It’s mandatory for people to call to the Sunnah, contrary to your individualist mentality when you said, “return YOURSELF and YOURSELF only to the sunnah.”

2) Think sincerely. If he did set an example by acting on his words, wouldn’t you just say more of the same against him? “Oh, he’s an extremist, blah blah blah.”

3) Don’t be so quick to accuse a brother of Nifaaq (i.e. working for the government against Muslims).

The truth can be bitter and difficult to swallow at times. ‘Jihaad is fard’ clearly spoke the truth, and the best you could do is use your emotions to respond, since you know well you couldn’t refute him.

So instead of using your emotions, why don’t you prove him wrong, and refute him, if you disagree with him?
