Wow… This is just horrible. But, not surprising in the least. I really have no sympathy for those Ethiopians whatsoever. What they are doing is wrong. Down with occupation. Like someone said not all Jews are racist or bad people.

I forgot to mention that I don’t study scripture at all, but I recall there being misconceptions (by many non-Jews and some Jews themselves) about the Jews as God’s chosen people. Judaism teaches that God is the God of all people and you don’t need to be Jewish to receive God’s redemption and being Jewish doesn’t make you any better than anyone else. The part about being “chosen” has to do with the additional duties and responsibilities to carry out all the commandments. The Jews were the last nation to be offered the Torah by God and He did so only after all other nations had refused – the religion teaches that God literally had to hold a mountain over the heads of the Jews- that the Jews received the Torah as the lowliest of nations so that all things that happened to the Jews could be attributed to God and God alone and not to the attributes and the abilities of the Jewish people. Judaism also teaches that its easier for non-Jews to get to the world to come as he/she has to only follow the Seven Noahide commandments. So not only are Jews not rewarded for their extra responsibilities and duties, they also have less of chance to get to the world to come unless the extra duties with the ramifications as a Jew.

That is scripture. The actions and feelings of those who follow this religion aren’t generally any worse than people who follow other religions or no religion at all.

Lots of Arabs are racist, Chinese are racist, Japanese–racist…You name the ethnic group and there will be some recognizable and pronounced racism within that group. That is different from systemic or policy enforced racism. The Israelis certainly demonstrate systemic racism regarding their treatment of Palestinians, but in this specific case linked in the post, it was just some dumb kids who have no power. That’s why spreading this kind of thing is just pumping up outrage with no real cause. It is ghaffla and should be ignored rather than magnified.

Regarding Advertisements
I apologize for the inappropriate ads. I try to ban as much as possible, but the way Google works it detects the words on the page and grabs the ads based on that, thus the Israeli ads. My ban list is extremely long and extensive.
