The Al-Shabab Mujahideen are probably the only group that is helping the Somali people in terms of establishing law and order in a land where anarchy exists. I haven’t read or even seen anything from any of the moderate Sufi scholars or websites regarding the destruction of these Sufi shrines.
Edit: I just want to make it clear that I do not support the destruction of the graves of Muslims.
Edit 2: Although many Somalians may appreciate the work that the Al-Shabab are doing in Somalia they still praise Al-Qaeda and are linked with them (via their videos) who are extremist Muslim and have deviated by the majority of the scholars of the ummah.
Allah knows best. May Allah (swt) forgive us all and guide us all.
Unfortunately greedy people in many major financial corporations in America have caused a huge global economic downfall and now countries and corporations worldwide are facing tremendous losses. Literally, thousands of jobs have been lost by major corporations and more are expected to be announced this week. We as Muslims are directly effected by this. The Muslim world has a large percentage of the worse economies of the world. This was during the time when America was thriving. Now that our economy has declined, what do you think happens to the economies of those third-world nations (including many Muslim countries)? It’s a domino effect. Whatever happens in America happens throughout the world. This is due to globalization and corporations having interests in multiple regions of the world.
The only good thing about all of this is the cheap gas prices!
I pray to Allah (swt) to guide our business transactions and the global economy to use moral and just ways in their financial practices.
“I don’t think that’s in any way going to be something to worry about. I myself am not speaking for him. But we are here, we love people in general. People love us. I myself love people who love me. You know, so, everything’s mutual. I can’t go [sic] in terms of Israel and Kenya and America, and so forth, you know, but based on what else I’ve heard him say and what I know of him as an individual, I don’t think Israel should worry too much, you know, about the connection. Because, I am a Muslim myself, and I don’t think that my being a Muslim has got anything to do with my brother being the President of the United States.”
This was a radio interview with an Israeli or Palestinian station. Not sure which station, but ABC News got it from the Israeli Army Radio. The reason I think it could be a Palestinian one is that at the end of the interview he says “Asalamualykum”, acknowledging he was being interviewed by a Musim. I don’t think Israeli stations have Muslims on them so this is why I assume it might have been a Palestinian one. Besides that point, I think Malik was right to say what he said. It doesn’t matter if Barack Obama’s half brother is a Muslim.
It’s really amazing how God has planned all this out and there is a strong possibility that the next President of the United States will have a Muslim lineage. God is the best of all planners.
May God bless and guide William! This is his blog here. There is about 13 million people in Malawi, which is located in the Southern Eastern part of Africa. Eighty percent of the population is Christian while 13 percent is Muslim.
Marouf Ould Haiba is one of four alleged al-Qaeda militants accused of shooting the tourists as they ate a picnic in south Mauritania in December.Fellow suspect Sidi Ould Sidna escaped from police in the capital, Nouakchott, as he was due to go on trial last week.
The getaway sparked a manhunt leading to two deadly shootouts in the city.
Mr Haiba is being questioned by police after being caught in the capital dressed in the black robes worn by some strict Muslim women that hide the entire body apart from the eyes.
“He was disguised as a woman and was carrying a weapon under his dress,” Hindou Mint Hainina, a government spokesman, told Reuters new agency.
“He had been trailed by the police for several days and is currently being questioned in Nouakchott’s central police station.”
Now that’s straight up wack. If your going to shoot four innocent tourists you should man up and don’t hide behind women’s clothing. What if those tourists converted/reverted to Islam due to visiting the Muslim country? SubhanAllah, this guy might have just killed potential Muslims! He had to get paid to do this, because there is no way a Muslim brother would dress in women’s clothing for the sake of Allah to enjoin good and forbid evil. No way! Show me the money!
May Allah (swt) protect the innocent people and guide us all to the straight path. Ameen!
Meet one of the sons of Osama bin Laden: Omar. He is from Osama’s first wife and one of the oldest of 19 children. He is convinced that there can be a truce between Al-Qaeda and the West. He has lived amongst them in Sudan and Afghanistan and trained with them. He also doesn’t attack his father but rather says all his father is doing is trying to defend the Islamic world.
He’s 26 and married to 52-year-old British woman Jane Felix-Browne who is now known as Zaina Alsabah. They want to be advocates of peace and plan on doing a 3000-mile horse race across North Africa for this.
Those are some cool dreadlocks. Anyways this guy has some good intentions. At least he did something extremely rare amongst Muslim brothers: marrying a woman twice his age.
Adam is the name of a Prophet (as), just like Muhammad is a name of the last Prophet (s). The puppet’s name in the video is Adam. I highly doubt any of the Sudanese protesters will read this blog post, but I’m hoping the Islam haters will read this, God willing. I’d just like to say that there is absolutely nothing wrong in naming a teddy bear Muhammad. I do not agree with what the news is reporting about the incident and what they say the Sudanese protesters are saying. I also believe that there is more to the protests, because who in God’s name would care if a teddy bear was named Muhammad or Adam or Moses or Abraham or Jesus. I mean seriously! You got to be kidding me. Now I really hope someone from Sudan can get to my site and comment to let us know why some Sudanese people are mad.
For those who don’t know, there are protesters in Sudan who want the death of a British teacher for naming a teddy bear Muhammad. Muslim Matters has more about it here. I still don’t why they are protesting. I think I’m going to name my teddy bears now. I’m naming them Isa and Musa.
