“My Meeting With Destiny” – G. Henry

A few years ago, I went out to the airport in Louisville, Kentucky, to catch a flight to Cincinnati, which would connect me to JFK in New York for the evening flight to Cairo. The agent at the counter informed me that the flight to Cincinnati had been cancelled. I replied, “Then put me on any flight to New York.” She said there were none, but that she could book me for the next day. Two business people from New York were standing behind me and pushed their way forward. They were very frustrated by this inconvenience and asked her if there were time enough to rent a car and drive to Cincinnati to make the New York flight. She replied that indeed there was enough time to do this, and the couple turned to me and said, “We’re New Yorkers and don’t drive, but if we rented a car would you drive us and, then, hopefully, all three of us would make the needed flight?” I called my husband and said that it was doubtful I would fly to Egypt that evening, but would take the flight the following night, while probably staying in either Cincinnati or New York.

    Muhammad Alshareef 2.0?

I didn’t understand it either, but here is the explanation:
    muhammad-alshareef-20

In the middle of the night…

    When wolves become Shepherds

    Lazy Boy

    Bathe yourselves in Money

Lessons from the life of Eessa ibn Maryam

These are titles that I’m sure some of you remember. I believe it to be around 2004. Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef was in the “EmanRush Zone”, and each lecture quickly fell into the category called “Classic” ma sha Allah.

It’s been 5 years since that time. EmanRush hasn’t released singles in years.

Get ready, for today is the launch of Muhammad Alshareef 2.0.

Who said that World class lectures are out of style? If they are, they’re coming back anyway..just like Tafsir Juz Amma

GREENSBORO — Patients don’t need an appointment or medical insurance to seek treatment at the Al-Aqsa health clinic.

They simply show up and sign in.

This free medical clinic is entirely run by Muslim women and their children. The doctors volunteer their time, including one who travels from Statesville. Although the clinic has been operating just six months, word has spread about it. Attendance has increased from about 35 patients in the first months to 100 in June.

Amal Khdour, the woman who founded the clinic, is called a teacher and leader in her community. She is a 39-year-old Palestinian who wears long, loose clothing and covers her head with a hijab, or head scarf. She is tall and fair-skinned. She’s a mother of four — two sons and two daughters. And she’s a cancer survivor.

ISNA 2009 – Lawung – Trendy Islamic Clothing

I was walking through the bazaar and out of nowhere I saw this booth:

Then I saw some familiar faces that I haven’t seen in a while.  One of the brothers came out of nowhere and had this big smile and wide open eyes.  We greeted each other and began talking about how we haven’t seen each other in a long time.

To make a long story short, my former local masjid when I use to live in NY use to bring huffadh (those who memorize the entire Qur’an) from the a Darul Uloom school in the UK.  One Ramadan these two brothers came and I spent my entire Ramadan with them almost every night and weekend.  They came again for another Ramadan and we became good friends. Now fast foward to ISNA 2009, i came to discover they have their own successful, mashaAllah, Islamic clothing company.  Now most clothing companies that make Islamic clothing aren’t really professional like Macy’s or Sears, but these brothers were on top of their game.

The thoubs are off the hook, mashaAllah! It has been something I have been waiting for a long time. These brothers are extremely professional about their presnetation and sale even the bag it comes in was amazing. One brother told me he just wanted the bag. It was that good. I interviewed one of the brothers at the Lawung booth.

Interview with Bro Uzair of Lawung:

Alhamdulillah I have talked to the brothers and inshaAllah I am in the process of becoming an agent in America for distributing Lawung products. So if you like what you see and what to purchase some products, let me know inshaAllah. Make a comment with your email address and I’ll contact you.
