Looks like an amazing event for all those Muslims near Islamic Forum of Canada!
Allah (swt) says in the Qur’an:
“…if anyone saves a life, it shall be as though he had saved the lives of all mankind…”
Surah 5, Verse 32.
Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
“The one who looks after a widow or a poor person is like a Mujahid (warrior) who fights for Allah’s Cause, or like him who performs prayers all the night and fasts all the day.” (Sahih Bukhari, Volume 7, Book 64, Number 265)
The Orphan Run stated off as a Muslim initiative, but alhamdulillah many non-muslims are also taking part in it since there is no such platform to help orphans. Orphan Run could be the next big thing which spins all over North America inshaAllah and having an Orphan Run in mutliple cities across.
I think this is a great initiative. To learn more about this organization and to start it up in your area check out their website here. There will be an Orphan Run on Saturday March 29 in Mississauga, Ontario.

A Weekend in the Footsteps of Rasulullah. A selection of Imam Nawawi’s 40 Ahadith (Arba’een) will be covered in depth by Mufti Abdur-Rahman ibn Yusuf
Time:
10am on Saturday, December 15th. to 3pm on Sunday, December 16th.
Cost:
All participants are encouraged to pay $15 to cover the cost of class materials and food. . Checks can be made to “Nida-ul-Islam” and can be given on the day of the program.
