My respected elders and brothers in Islam. King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz, the custodian of the the two holy masajid, I greet you with the peace and blessings of Allah. I pray to Allah that you and the members of the KSA government are in the best of health and state of iman. I pray that we are all guided upon the straight path. Ameen.

As you are aware of our brothers and sisters in Palestine and their current situation I ask you as the most powerful and influential Muslim country in the Muslim world to take action. I ask you to completely halt all exports until Israel stops it’s rampage. Halt all exports until all Palestinians are able to receive medicine food and humanitarian aid. Halt all exports until Israel and Palestine come together to formulate a peaceful outcome where both groups can exist without any problems.

Allah has blessed Saudi Arabia with abundant oil for many years. This natural resource is used in every single country and without it many aspects of the economy would fail. Everything from air travel to ground travel to plastic production to food packaging will have to put on hold if the supply of oil were to be reduced. Now is your chance to use it against those who have caused oppression upon the Muslim ummah. It is an economic weapon greater than the gun or missile.

InshaAllah I pray to Allah that leaders of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia step up to the oppressive regimes and cut off all exports until Israel stops.

Hundreds of Churches going Bankrupt

The current economic crisis has even effected churches:

During this holiday season of hard times, not even houses of God have been spared. Some lenders believe more churches than ever have fallen behind on loans or defaulted this year. Some churches, and at least one company that specialized in church lending, have filed for bankruptcy. Church giving is down as much as 15% in some places, pastors and lenders report.

The financial problems are crimping a church building boom that began in the 1990s, when megachurches multiplied, turning many houses of worship into suburban social centers complete with bookstores, gyms and coffee bars. Lenders say mortgage applications are down, while some commercial lenders no longer see churches as a safe investment.

I wonder if the masajid in America have a seen a decline in donations.

Pray for the Global Economy

Unfortunately greedy people in many major financial corporations in America have caused a huge global economic downfall and now countries and corporations worldwide are facing tremendous losses.  Literally, thousands of jobs have been lost by major corporations and more are expected to be announced this week.  We as Muslims are directly effected by this.  The Muslim world has a large percentage of the worse economies of the world.  This was during the time when America was thriving.  Now that our economy has declined, what do you think happens to the economies of those third-world nations (including many Muslim countries)?  It’s a domino effect.  Whatever happens in America happens throughout the world.  This is due to globalization and corporations having interests in multiple regions of the world.

The only good thing about all of this is the cheap gas prices!

I pray to Allah (swt) to guide our business transactions and the global economy to use moral and just ways in their financial practices.

And for their taking riba (usury, interest, un-necessary loans, un-necessary mortgages, re-financing, un-necessary financing) even though it was forbidden for them, and their wrongful appropriation of other peoples’ property, We have prepared for those among them who reject faith a grievous punishment. On a serious note, my company sent out a company-wide email basically saying there was a hiring freeze. For all those brothers and sisters looking for jobs, may Allah (swt) make it easy for you. Ameen!


Finally! Hundreds of Corporate Thugs Arrested!

It’s all over the news.  Former executives from major financial institutions like Bear Stearns.  Mortgage brokers, housing developers, estate agents and many other areas in the financial field have been arrested and under federal custody.  It’s about time these corporate thugs become responsible for their greed.

That they took usury though they were forbidden and they devoured peoples wealth wrongfully; we have prepared for those amongst them who reject faith a grievous chastisement.

Obama won the Democratic Nomination already?

Also, Obama’s campaign confirmed yesterday that it is setting up a joint fund-raising committee with the Democratic National Committee, an arrangement that allows donors to write one check to be divided between the candidate and the national party, which can use its share to help the candidate. The contribution limit is $28,500, compared to $2,300 for the general election for donations directly to a candidate.

The Democratic National Committee (DNC) is the final decision maker in selecting either Obama or Clinton to be the Democratic Presidential candidate.   This joint fundraising committee is usually set up for the nominee.  John McCain has one with the Republican party.  Clinton has nothing.  Actually, Clinton is in debt due to her campaign spending.

US Economy is no longer #1

The U.S. economy lost the title of “world’s biggest” to the euro zone this week as the value of the dollar slumped in currency markets.

I have blogged about the economy a few times (here, here, here and here) over the past several months. Many people say, “Oh it will bounce back, this is normal.” I’m sorry, this is not normal and it’s going to take a lot of hard work to bounce back. Me personally, I see this as a punishment from Allah (swt) to America for all their oppression around the world. For us, who are living in America, well we’re going to have to save and utilize our funds in the most efficient manner, unless the next President re-structures the mortgage faulting disaster.

America gave Israel $30,000,000,000 this year while…

…63,000 Americans lost their jobs (largest drop since 2003 – 5 years).

…millions of Americans can’t afford their mortgage payments.

…Bush vetoed 5-billion a year for American children‘s health insurance.

So in other words, giving Israel money to terrorize Palestinians is worth more than Americans losing jobs, Americans losing their homes and taking care of American children.


The State of the American Economy

The man in the above picture is the Federal Reserve Board Chairman Ben Bernanke who pauses while discussing the near-term economic outlook during testimony before the House Budget Committee on Capitol Hill on Thursday Jan. 17. You may have heard the big news of the recent drop in interest rates by the US Government. Well the man who called for it was, the man in the above picture.

Ballin’! The richest Muslim businessman in the world is the nephew of King Abdullah also known as al-Waleed bin Talal bin Abdul Aziz al-Saud. If you haven’t heard already, he’s dropping around $2 billion to $6.88 billion to the currently failing American financial organization known as Citi or Citigroup (Citibank). Citi recently reported losses up to and more than $10 billion which shocked Wall Street. With the investments from Prince al-Waleed and others (Kuwaiti and Chinese investors) Citi hopes to cover their losses and improve their status. Oh yeah, the new CEO of Citi was born in Bombay, India: Vikram Pandit.

May Allah guide Prince al-Waleed. Ameen.
