  • The End – Mujahideen Ryder’s Blog (2000 to 2009) [UPDATED]

It’s been a long time with lots of fun, educational, spiritual, controversial and outrageous posts over an entire decade. The blog was bound to come to an end as do everything.

I ask Allah to forgive me for anything wrong I have said. I ask anyone who may have been hurt by my blog to forgive me. Anything good that I have written is from Allah. Anything bad is from myself and the whispers of the shaytan.

May Allah take away any suffering from any Muslim. May Allah remove the injustice around the world. May Allah bring peace to war infested lands. May Allah forgive all the wrong doers. May Allah guide all the misguided and continue to guide the guided.

Oh Allah! Forgive the Muslim men and women. Forgive the believing men and women. Those who are alive and those who died. You are indeed the One who listens and accepts all supplications.

Servants of Allah! Indeed Allah orders us to be just and to excel in what we do. Be generous and to take care of our kin and relatives. Never do what is forbidden of all sins and not to transgress. He almighty advises you so you can remember.

Verily, Salah prevents evil deeds and misconduct.

With that said, my last and final post is done.

    Asalamualykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh
May the peace, mercy and blessings of God be upon you

UPDATE (1/2/10): Some of you suggested a I list resources that I usually go to.  Here are my sources for news articles:

    1. Reddit
I’m on reddit on a daily basis.  It’s basically a community that votes different submissions from around the web.  I use this to get the latest news around the world and in America.  The politics and world news subreddits are very good.
    2. Twitter
I find some of the most craziest links on here.  You have to really search and follow the right people. @IslamBlog and @muslimvoices are pretty good of aggregating a lot of links around the web regarding Islam and Muslims.

    List for Islamic knowledge:

    1. Halal Tube
The number one reason I made that site was for myself to organize lectures.  I basically listen to all my stuff from there.  If I find something, I add it.  I know there is a submit form for anyone to add, but I’ve been lazy with that.  Hopefully now that MR has come to an end I will be able to work on Halal Tube more often.
I use it to find hadith related to questions I have, not necessarily to find a fatwa.
    3. SearchTruth
Easy way to find things from the Quran and Hadith.
    4. Read!
      I read books.

Update (1/3/2010):  If people want to continue sharing articles and link, you can start a community on ShoutReel here.  I’ll be on there adding interesting things I find as well as throughout the ShoutReel site. I’ll also still be tweeting.

In other words, I’ll still be sharing information online, just not on this blog anymore!  So follow me on twitter and join ShoutReel!

Updated (1/3/2010): The site will remain online, just not updated.  I’ll be posting here

Updated (4/9/2011): Just follow me on twitter and listen to lectures on HalalTube or listen to the Qur’an on HalalTunes.

UPDATE: Sh. Yusuf al-Qaradawi will be overseeing the filming. (source)

Here is a list of Barrie Osborne’s movies he was part of.

The only other movie I can think of was the old school 70s movie, “The Message” (or “Muhammad: The Messenger of God”) by Moustapha Akkad. I liked it and it does a good job with respecting the teachings of Islam as well as the historical accounts. I hope this one goes in to a bit more detail

A film about the Prophet Mohammad backed by the producer of “The Lord of the Rings” and “The Matrix” is under discussion, a Qatar media firm said on Sunday, aiming to create an English-language blockbuster for the world’s 1.5 billion Muslims.

Filming of the $150 million movie is set to start in 2011, with Barrie Osborne as its producer, Alnoor Holdings said.

Alnoor said the film – in which the Prophet would not be depicted, in accordance with Islamic strictures – was in development and talks were being held with studios, talent agencies and distributors in the United States and Britain.

The company launched a $200-million international film fund on Oct. 31 to invest in film projects amid tight financing in the wake of the financial crisis and plans to focus on Hollywood.

Alnoor said it aimed to attract the “best international talent” to star in the motion picture.

The company was set up this year to take advantage of economic opportunities in the entertainment industry, focusing on international film production, Arabic production and animation.

Inna lilllahi wa inna ilayhi rajioon.

Ertugrul Osman – the would-be sultan known in Turkey as the “last Ottoman” – has died in Istanbul at the age of 97.

Osman would have been sultan of the Ottoman Empire had Turkey’s modern republic not been created in the 1920s.

As the last surviving grandson of Sultan Abdul-Hamid II, he would have been known as his Imperial Highness Prince Shehzade Ertugrul Osman Effendi.

Born in Istanbul in 1912, Osman spent most of his years living modestly in New York.

Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi rajioon. May Allah grant him jannah.

A settler tosses wine at a Palestinian woman on Shuhada Street in Hebron. The approach of some settlers towards neighboring Palestinians, especially around Nablus in the north and Hebron in the south, has often been one of contempt and violence.

Wallahi, if that happened to me, I’d beat the crap out of that guy. As you can see the Palestinian woman continues to walk by without reacting. This is the ultimate jihad (struggle) and sabr (patience). May Allah reward her and grant her the highest jannah. Ameen!

May Allah make it easy for the oppressed and protect them.

Eminem praises Allah in “Bagpipes from Baghdad”?

It seems to be a common with mainstream pop rappers referencing Islam, Allah and using Arabic in their songs. There is Lil Wayne and then of course you have that big fiasco with Busta Rhymes, T-Pain, Akon, P Diddy and whole bunch of others with the several Arab Money songs and remixes. Now Eminem appears to be feelin’ it:

Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.

Clearly sounds like “hamdulillah” with some auto-tunes mixing.

Eminem – If you do read this, I invite you to learn more about the meaning of what you are saying and what Islam is all about. You can contact me and I can connect you with some scholars God willing. I’m not sure how true this is, but one of your fellow group members of D12, Bizarre, may be a Muslim. The only evidence of this is one of your songs, Bizarre said “I’m a alcoholic…pass the hot dogs” and then you said in the background, “Bizarre, aren’t you Islamic?”. So if this is true, then also I invite Bizarre to this offer. Thanks.

May God guide him and all of us! Ameen.

Imam Zaid Shakir finally writes a response to a, what I like to call, a hater, but that’s just me so don’t attribute that to Imam Zaid.
