Praise be to Allah Who has created Time and has made some times better than others, some months and days and nights better than others, when rewards are multiplied many times, as a mercy towards His slaves. This encourages them to do more righteous deeds and makes them more eager to worship Him, so that the Muslim renews his efforts to gain a greater share of reward, prepare himself for death and supply himself in readiness for the Day of Judgement.
This season of worship brings many benefits, such as the opportunity to correct one’s faults and make up for any shortcomings or anything that one might have missed. Every one of these special occasions involves some kind of worship through which the slaves may draw closer to Allah, and some kind of blessing though which Allah bestows His favour and mercy upon whomsoever He will. The happy person is the one who makes the most of these special months, days and hours and draws nearer to his Lord during these times through acts of worship; he will most likely be touched by the blessing of Allah and will feel the joy of knowing that he is safe from the flames of Hell. (Ibn Rajab, al-Lataa’if, p.8)

Intersting how the King can make dua raising his hands at the grave but when other Muslims try this, the brothers of the office of promoting the good and forbidding the evil stops them. Skip to 1:30 in the video to see it.
May the blessings, peace and mercy be upon the Prophet Muhammad.
It is shocking to see Muslims praising and calling Nidal Hasan a hero. According to to their own leaders and teachers, Nidal Hasan is a kafir. Anyone who joins the US military is no longer a Muslim. In fact Nidal Hasan is a murtad. Now all of a sudden he is a mujahid in prison. He is a hero. He is worthy of being praised.
Apparently, to these Muslims, you do not recite the shahada to be a Muslim. Apparently, to become a Muslim is to do something which they approve of. Now common sense tells me this just doesn’t make sense, but seriously, can anyone tell me how do Muslims think like this?
I do have a rational explanation. They work for the government to attract innocent (and probably stupid) Muslims into a trap which will then lead to a 2 year undercover operation to finally arrest a real Muslim in order to show the public they are keeping America safe from terrorists. Yay! Thanks government for keeping us safe by creating terrorists!
Serious advice to those in power who may read this: war means casualties. No war means no casualties. It’s very simple.
Thank you. May God make it easy for us all and protect the innocent.

But Emmerich was thinking of something even more explosive: the Kaaba, the cube-shaped building at the heart of Mecca, the focus of prayers and the Islamic pilgrimage called the Hajj; it is one of Islam’s holiest sites.
“Well, I wanted to do that, I have to admit,” Emmerich says. “But my co-writer Harald said I will not have a fatwa on my head because of a movie. And he was right. … We have to all … in the Western world … think about this. You can actually … let … Christian symbols fall apart, but if you would do this with [an] Arab symbol, you would have … a fatwa, and that sounds a little bit like what the state of this world is. So it’s just something which I kind of didn’t [think] was [an] important element, anyway, in the film, so I kind of left it out.”
No offense, but I wouldn’t care if the movie portrayed it. It’s not real. And even if something like that was to happen, Muslims don’t have to protect it. God protects it. We also don’t worship it. We worship God. Also the article forgot about Jewish, Hindu, Buddhist and all non-Christian holy sites. The movie doesn’t attack any of those.
UPDATE: Sh. Yusuf al-Qaradawi will be overseeing the filming. (source)
Here is a list of Barrie Osborne’s movies he was part of.
The only other movie I can think of was the old school 70s movie, “The Message” (or “Muhammad: The Messenger of God”) by Moustapha Akkad. I liked it and it does a good job with respecting the teachings of Islam as well as the historical accounts. I hope this one goes in to a bit more detail
A film about the Prophet Mohammad backed by the producer of “The Lord of the Rings” and “The Matrix” is under discussion, a Qatar media firm said on Sunday, aiming to create an English-language blockbuster for the world’s 1.5 billion Muslims.
Filming of the $150 million movie is set to start in 2011, with Barrie Osborne as its producer, Alnoor Holdings said.
Alnoor said the film – in which the Prophet would not be depicted, in accordance with Islamic strictures – was in development and talks were being held with studios, talent agencies and distributors in the United States and Britain.
The company launched a $200-million international film fund on Oct. 31 to invest in film projects amid tight financing in the wake of the financial crisis and plans to focus on Hollywood.
Alnoor said it aimed to attract the “best international talent” to star in the motion picture.
The company was set up this year to take advantage of economic opportunities in the entertainment industry, focusing on international film production, Arabic production and animation.
Mélanie Georgiades aka Diam’s was spotted by the French media wearing hijab with her Muslim husband. She had this to say about the conversion:
“Medicine was not able to heal my soul, so I turned toward religion”.
I wonder what Sarkozy and all those French hijab-haters have to say about France’s pop icon rocking the hijab. May God continue to guide her and protect her. Ameen!
You can see one of her music videos here portraying racism in France.
