Respect to the Brasilian Football Teams!
Diplomatic tensions have sparked recently between Israel and Brazil over none other than a soccer match, Yedioth Ahronoth reported Wednesday.
The Brazilian government decided to extend a gesture to the Palestinian people and hold a friendly game between two of its leading soccer teams – Sao Paulo’s Corinthians and Rio de Janeiro’s Flamingo – in the West Bank city of Ramallah.
With famed player Ronaldo as the Corinthians’ striker and Falmingo being one of the world’s top soccer teams, many Israelis would undoubtedly love to attend the game, but the Brazilians have made it clear that they are not interested in playing in Israel – only in the Palestinian Authority.
Giora Bachar, the Israeli ambassador to Brasilia inquired about the reports in the local media with the Brazilian Foreign Ministry, which confirmed them.
Bachar filed an official protest with the Brazilian Foreign Ministry, but his report to Jerusalem did indicate that the initiative has yet to find a sponsor.
“I intend to make the Brazilians understand that if a similar game is not held in Israel, we will see it as an act of ostracism,” he said. “It would be better off if they held two games, or better still – a joint game for the Israelis and Palestinians.”
Even bad Muslims are more religious than other followers of different faiths.

Props to Ecuador:
The president of Ecuador has ordered a US embassy official to leave after accusing him of meddling in local police projects, a move likely to fray ties with Washington.
President Rafael Correa said during his weekly media address on Saturday: “Foreign minister, give this gentleman 48 hours to pack up his suitcases and get out of the country”.
How many US officials have been meddling in Muslim affairs and nothing has been done. It’s amazing how the countries in South America are stepping up to the big bully.
LA PAZ, Bolivia (CNN) — Bolivia broke diplomatic relations with Israel on Wednesday over the Israeli incursion into Gaza, President Evo Morales announced. Morales also said his government will ask that Israeli President Shimon Peres and Prime Minister Ehud Olmert be declared war criminals.
“The Israeli government’s crimes affect global stability and peace and have returned the world to the worst stage of crimes against humanity that we hadn’t seen except in World War II and in the last years in the former Yugoslavia and Rwanda,” Morales said.
Venezuela has also broken ties with Israel over Gaza. May Allah bless these two countries and reward them for standing up for justice and standing up to the terrorist state of Israel.
Unfortunately greedy people in many major financial corporations in America have caused a huge global economic downfall and now countries and corporations worldwide are facing tremendous losses. Literally, thousands of jobs have been lost by major corporations and more are expected to be announced this week. We as Muslims are directly effected by this. The Muslim world has a large percentage of the worse economies of the world. This was during the time when America was thriving. Now that our economy has declined, what do you think happens to the economies of those third-world nations (including many Muslim countries)? It’s a domino effect. Whatever happens in America happens throughout the world. This is due to globalization and corporations having interests in multiple regions of the world.
The only good thing about all of this is the cheap gas prices!
I pray to Allah (swt) to guide our business transactions and the global economy to use moral and just ways in their financial practices.
Let us remember the tragic death of Democracy in Chile:
On September 11, 1973, less than two months after the first failed coup attempt (Tanquetazo), and less than a month after the Chamber of Deputies, where the Opposition held a majority, condemned Allende’s alleged breaches of the constitution, the Chilean military overthrew president Salvador Allende, who died during the coup. US intervention in Chilean politics and support to opponents of Allende, including support for an assassination, has been documented by the declassification in 1998 of documents concerning the Project FUBELT operations, although its exact nature is still controversial. General Augusto Pinochet took over and established an anti-communist military dictatorship which lasted until 1990.

Skin painted bright red, heads partially shaved, arrows drawn back in the longbows and aimed square at the aircraft buzzing overhead. The gesture is unmistakable: Stay Away.
Behind the two men stands another figure, possibly a woman, her stance also seemingly defiant. Her skin painted dark, nearly black.
The apparent aggression shown by these people is quite understandable. For they are members of one of Earth’s last uncontacted tribes, who live in the Envira region in the thick rainforest along the Brazilian-Peruvian frontier.
SubhanAllah! I never knew these type of people still existed today. With the invention of electricity, the radio, the TV, the Internet and satellites, you would think that the entire Earth was covered and everyone knew everyone.
I have to give a lot of respect to these people. For probably thousands of years they have successfully boycotted the entire modern world.
Only Allah knows what will happen to them or what happened to them. How can Islam reach them?
